Crimson Track Team to Face Brown Today

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The varsity track team, still riding high after two record breaking performances by the mile-relay team in Boston garden appearances, return as to dual-meet competition today when it opposes Brown at 1:30 p.m. in Briggs cage.

Varsity chances appear fairly good in the middle distance running events, the 600 and 1000, and the mile. The dash will be close, but the Bruins are favored in the field events. The mile-relay looks like the Crimson's only sure win.

An undefeated freshman team, which has already swamped B.U. and Tufts, will meet the Bruin cubs in a concurrent meet. Yardling starters will probably include hil Williams in the mile, Dick Norris in the 1000, Joel Cohen in the 45-yard hurdles, and captain Dick Wharton in the 600.

By competing against brown, the Crimson is passing up a chance to compete in the Millrose Games in New York tonight.
