Sale Rids Widener Of 1200 Duplicates

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

A crowd "not as big as last year's and less violent" yesterday bought close to 1200 books and pamphlets at Widener Library's semi-annual duplicate book sale, Walter Grossmann of the Library staff reported last night.

Grossmann, who is listed in the University Directory as a "Specialist in Book Selection," said the books were rejects. "No College libraries want them, and they're not worth keeping as duplicates because they are in such little demand," he explained.
