A series of magazine thefts has prompted replacement of mailboxes in seven freshman dormitories, Arthur D. Trottenberg, Operating Manager of College Houses and Dormitories, announced yesterday.
The mailboxes will each be large enough to hold two small magazines in addition to normal mail. About $3,000 will be spent in making replacements in Matthews, Weld, Grays, Thayer, Hollis, Stoughton, and Holworthy. Installations should be completed in about six weeks.
