The unbeaten varsity rifle team won its third victory yesterday at the Holyoke St. range, edging Boston University and Brown. The Crimson compiled 1387 points, with B.U. and Borwn scoring 1382 and 1335, respectively.
Crimson scoring was distributed almost evenly among the five team members. The top scorer was John Liebeskind with 282 points, followed by John Leness with 280 and John Hessel with 277. Richard Lipman totaled 276 and Nat Geary 272.
The victory enabled the Crimson to maintain its lead in the New England College Rifle League. The team opened its season by topping Yale, 1377-1376.
