The 'Cliffe Fund Drive's two day personal approach this fall gained $1000 more than last year's week-long campaign, Joan Friendly '56, Co-Chairman of the Fund Drive, said yesterday.
This year's Fund Drive made $2500 as compared to last year's $1500 total. "And although the Drive is officially over, donations are still coming in." Friendly added.
735 out of 350 resident 'Cliffed wellers donated to the Combined Charities this year, an increase over last year, when only 49 present of the students contributed.
The Fund Drive Committee attributes this response to their new method of conducting the campaign. This year, personal pleas to give replaced writes pledges, and a concentrated two day appeal was substituted for the previous seven day drive.
