The Crimson wrestling team trounced Williams, 23 to 8, last Saturday at Williamstown. At the same time, the freshmen also triumphed over the Williams freshmen 25 to 3, in the first meet for both the varsity and the freshmen teams.
For the varsity in the 123 pound class Tatsuo Arima won the decision over Lyden of William, 8 to 0. In the 130 pound class Williams Pitts defeated Ed Keating, 10 to 5. In the 187 pound match Dave Jordan of Harvard and Masden of Williams came to a draw, 4 to 4.
The varsity's Phil Burnaman lost a close one to Koster, 3 to 2. Dick Hook defeated Howard of Williams, 8 to 0, for the 157 pound class victory. Bob Gilmor the varsity's 167 pounder, pinned Sullivan in 7:27 minutes. Captain Ken Culbert pinned Baumgardner of Williams with a reverse cradle in two minutes. In the unlimited class Pete Morrison of Harvard pinned Reed in 2:30 with a half-nelson and a crotch held.
The freshmen lost only one match of the meet. Elsas of the freshman 123 pound class overcame Even, 9 to 8. The freshmen's Kuliman whipped McCellenam 5 go 0 In the 130 pound class. Mooz the freshmen's 137 pounder, defeated Hutchenson 5 to 1. Marbury walked over Gladsen for a score of 11 to 0 in the 147 class.
Harvard's only loss came in the 157 class, where Williams' Andrews edged Goodman 2 to 0. The freshmen took the remaining classes by a decision, a pinning and forfeit.
