Students Give $402 In CARE Campaign

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Combined Charities CARE drive collected enough money yesterday to send five and a half tons of surplus food to needy people abroad, Edward M. Strasser '56, co-chairman of the drive, reported last night. The campaign ends today.

Some 320 students made contributions of fifty cents or one dollar each at the drive booth in front of the Coop. Fifty cents will ship 14 pounds of food abroad, while one dollar will feed a family for one month.

A forecast for rain today will force the collection indoors, Strasser said.
