In 1915, a young lady joined the freshman dean's office as secretary to Henry A. Yeomans '00. One year later, when Yeomans was promoted to the position of Dean of Students, they both moved downstairs to 4 University Hall. Now, 39 years later, Miss Eva F. Weeks is retiring.
In succession, she was secretary to five Deans of Students: Yeomans, Chester N. Greenough, A. Chester Hanford, Wilbur J. Bender '27, and Delmar Leighton '23.
"They were all wonderful," she says. "That's why I stayed so long." Last week Dean Leighton gave her a small party and tomorrow she will sit at her desk for the last time.
