The 107th Hasty Pudding Show, opening here tomorrow, will not close its tour with a one night stand in down-town New York, Walter D. Littell '55, president of the Pudding Theatricals, announced yesterday.
Nicholas Benton, the show's New York representative, advised the step on the grounds that bringing a play "of limited appeal" to New York City, where it would compete with other, more widely known shows, was uneconomical. "It was also a little late to start talks with the unions," he added.
The Pudding plans to negotiate with union officials about future appearances in New York very soon, Littell said. "We would like very much to be able to play New York. We want to look into every possibility."
