James Wray, former University crew coach, was found lost and suffering from exposure in the woods near Ithaca, New York, Tuesday night.
Police said that Wray, who is 83, had injured himself in a fall, and been forced to spend the night in the woods. He was taken for treatment to Ithaca Memorial Hospital.
Wray, a resident of Malden, had been visiting a son at Ludlowville, New York, when the accident occurred.
In addition to his post at the University, he had also coached crew at Cornell.
