The varsity football team appeared to be in its best condition in weeks, as it scrimmaged the jayvees yesterday afternoon behind the walls of Soldiers Field.
Every member of the squad was available including wingback Dexter Lewis and center Jan Meyer, Lewis, troubled with a pulled leg muscle, has seen action only once this season--against Dartmouth. Meyer was a starter until he hurt his back in the Columbia game.
