The entire allotment of almost 600 end-zone tickets returned yesterday morning by Yale "went like hotcakes," Frank O. Lunden, H.A.A. ticket manager, reported late last night.
He is hopeful even more tickets might be sent back from New Haven later in the week. But Yale ticket manager John Blake said he returned all remaining tickets and was now "completely cleaned out."
Tall End of Allotment
Almost all of the 590 tickets were for Section 18, directly behind the goal post in the curve of the Stadium horseshoe. "It was definitely the tail-end of their allotment," Lunden said.
"We tried to take care of as many Harvard people as possible," he explained. "I just kept going back and forth between the counter and the mail all day until the supply was gone."
He refused to say his office was all sold out.
"I recommend those who have been disappointed keep trying us later in the week. There has been some trading in and out, and we may get some more before Saturday," Lunden concluded.
Yale easily took care of all its undergraduate demand a week ahead of time.
