Jordan Begins Week Of Secret Practices

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The varsity football team began a week of secret practice yesterday in preparation for Saturday's game with Yale. After the session, Coach Lloyd Jordan reported that he had emphasized defense but had no contact work. He said that Yale has "a good, well-rounded attack with break-away runners and passing like Brown."

As for personnel, Jordan said he expected the players hurt against Brown--guard Bill Meigs, fullback Tony Gianelly, and quarterback Jerry Marsh--to be ready for Yale.

The Crimson coach was less certain, however, about wingback Dexter Lewis, who has been out with a leg injury since a brief appearance in the Dartmouth game. Lewis' lack of contact work this season makes him a doubtful participant Saturday.
