Dunster topped Leverett 6-0 in House football Wednesday, virtually breaking the Bunnies' two-year hold on the Clark trophy.
To clinch the title Dunster has only to beat a mediocre Winthrop team, while Leverett must count, first on Dunster losing, and then on beating both Kirkland and Adams to tie for the championship.
Winthrop outdistanced Dudley 19-7 in the day's only other tackle game.
In touch football Leverett managed to avenge itself crushing Dunster 34-12. The Bunnies also topped Eliot in soccer 5-0 tying Kirkland for the House lead.
Both Kirkland and Leverett play their final games tomorrow against Winthrop and Lowell. If both win, a playoff may be necessary to determine who will face Yale on Nov. 19. In soccer play Dunster tripped Dudley 3-1.
Though it is still quite early in the intramurals season Dunster and Leverett have made good starts toward capturing the Straus Trophy, now held by Dunster.
