Student Pays Fine In Knife Incident

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Robert R. Forrester '57 of Lowell House was convicted yesterday of disturbing the peace and acquitted of all other charges arising out of a restaurant waitress' complaint that he had threatened her with a knife on Nov. 3.

He was fined $20 on the disturbance charge. Trial took place in Middlesex District Court.

The court acquitted Forrester of charges of destroying property and possession of a dangerous weapon. The Cambridge police, who made the arrest, had earlier requested dismissal of a charge of drunkenness.

Forrester still faces action by the College Administrative Board next Tuesday.

Mrs. Loretta Stone, a waitress in Arthur Parker's, who originally charged Forrester with threatening has with his six-inch knife, did not appear in court yesterday. Her charges were not entered as evidence.

Forrester presented his version of the event in court yesterday and contradicted earlier newspaper accounts. He declared that he had not threatened Mrs. Stone.
