The varsity football team flight to Ithaca has been cancelled unexpectedly and the squad will travel by Pullman tonight instead, it was learned last night.
The team was originally scheduled last spring to fly with United Air Lines, but no United planes are now available for the trip before the Cornell football game this Saturday.
The H.A.A. appealed to Frank Leahy, agent for United, for an extra plane, but without success.
Coach Jordan had no complaint about the late switch. "It is an easier trip by plane than train," he said. "But not really a great handicap."
