Coach Floyd Wilson's varsity basketball team opens its season Dec. 6 with an away game against Northeastern. This will be Wilson's first year as varsity coach; last year he led the freshman team to its first undefeated season in the College's athletic history.
The Crimson will play 20 regular games, and will participate in the New England College Tournament. As before, 14 Ivy League games are scheduled.
Besides the seven Ivy League teams, the varsity opposes Northeastern, Syracuse, Boston College, Amherst, Tufts, and Middlebury. The first league game is with Brown, Dec. 8; the last with Yale, March 5.
The varsity record last year was nine victories and 16 defeats, with a two won, 12 lost league mark.
Syracuse and Middlebury will be played enroute to league games with Cornell and Dartmouth, and the New England College Tournament will be held during Christmas vacation.
