The varsity football team began its practice for the once-defeated Ohio University yesterday afternoon with a long scrimmage between the second and third strings. Last Saturday's starters ran through light drills.
Dexter Lewis, who saw limited service against Dartmouth, limped about during practice apparently still bothered by his pre-season injury. Frank White and John Simourian alternated in the scrimmage at the wingback position.
Coach Lloyd Jordan complimented the Saturday performances of quarterbacks Leo Daley and Phil Haughey and said they would remain as alternates with starter Jerry Marsh. "Daley was very good for a sophomore," the Crimson coach said. "He did a good job all the way." Sam Fyock also received praise for his work against the Indians.
