Varsity Subs Will Aid J.V.'s Against Indians Here Today

A full squadron of third-string varsity players will bolster the ranks of the Crimson Jayvees today, as Coach Norm Shepard's eleven meets Dartmouth at 2 p.m. on Soldiers Field.

The varsity reinforcements will use a single-wing formation as opposed to the Jayvees regular T. and probably will play the second land fourth quarters as a single unit. They will be opposing a once-beaten Dartmouth Jayvee squad which works out of a T-offense and is quarterbacked by senior Dell Isola, son of the Indians line coach.

Bothered by injuries, the Crimson team will nevertheless make few starting-lineup changed as it bids for a second consecutive win. Shepard's boys edged Dean Academy, 7 to 0, last week after losing their opener to Brown.

Probable starters in Shepard's backfield are Joe Crehore at quarterback Dave Holmes and Jim Damis at halves, and Ed Galvin at fullback.

The regular starting line for the Jayvees includes Tony Markella at left end, Bill Markos at left tackle, Art Ticknor, left guard; the injured Lou Newell at center, Sam Quatarone at right guard, Joe Glampa at right tackle, and Dick Brickman, right end.
