NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Holy Cross took all 18 first-place votes to hold its top position in this week's New England basketball rating.

Connecticut, winner of Dartmouth's eight-team vacation tournament, moved into second place while Boston College dropped to third. The varsity was not listed in the first ten, but Brandeis, which the Crimson meets next Wednesday, was rated fifth.

Dartmouth, the team which eliminated the Crimson in the Hanover tournament, was in fourth place. Brown, which beat the varsity, 67 to 51, early in the season was rated sixth, and Tufts, which defeated the Crimson, 71 to 68, just before the holidays, was given seventh position.

The varsity next travels to Columbia for a game Friday night.
