Larry Brownell, number two man on the squash team, reached the quarter-finals in the New England squash championships held at the University Club over the weekend.

The most successful Crimson candidate, he advanced to the quarterfinals on the strength of a five-game victory over Roger Sonnaband of the Harvard Club, only to lose out to Don Scott, former Princeton captain, in four games. The other entrants, Bill Wister, number three, and Johnny Rauh, number five, both lost out in the first round.

Rauh, however, advanced to the consolation finals, only to lose to Bill Howe, of New Haven, in four games.
