Radcliffe yesterday announced the election of six new members to its Board of Trustees.

Miss Katherine E. McBride, president of Bryn Mawr, was appointed for six years. A former dean of the Annex, she is chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Educational Testing Service.

Herbert L. Matthews, editorial writer for the New York Times, was also elected for a six year term. Matthews, a Columbia graduate, has been with the Times since 1922.

Sterling Dow, John E. Hudson Professor of Archaeology, and John K. Galbraith, professor of Economics, were named to represent the Harvard faculty. Mrs. N. Five people--including Professor Kenneth B. Murdock, are retiring from the Board this year, while one other is resigning and two died.
