Snow and rain at the beginning of the season didn't stop Dudley's ace nine from taking the league baseball championship and then whipping their Yale counterparts.
The Commuter nine played off five games in three days, whipping Winthrop, Kirkland, Eliot, Adams and Dunster in that order. The team, sparked by pitcher Ed Snow, then easily took the measure of Yale's Berkeley College.
