Next year's golf captain is JOHN J. BROPHY '54 of Salem and Dunster House. Brophy played third man on this season's squad.

A graduates of Salem High School, he attends the Colleges on a Francls Oulmet Caddy Scholarship, awarded annually by the Massachusetts Golf Association to a caddy at a member club. Brophy was senior champion of Salem when he was only 14 years old, and in 1951 was defeated in the semi-finals of the state junior tournament by Ted Cooney.
