Class Committee Names 4 Agents, Speakers for '53

Four class agents and five class day speakers were announced yesterday by the permanent class committee and the senior class day committee.

Named as class agents are George W. Chase of Winthrop, Paul W. Dillingham of Winthrop, Ralph N. Wharton of Kirkland, and Stephen Stamatopolus of Lowell.

Daniel J. O'Connor, chairman of the class day committee, announced that Donald O. Stewart of Lowell has been selected as class orator for exercises in the Sever quadrangle on June 9.

Charles E. Neuhauser of Lowell has been named class poet, LeRoy S. Rouner of Winthrop is chorister, Francis J. O'Neil of Leverett is Ivy (humorous) orator, and Walter B. Carnochan of Eliot is odist.

Bands Announced

O'Connor also announced that Ruby Newman's band has been obtained for the senior-alumni dance to be held June 10. Sammy Eisen's band will play for the "Moonlight Cruise" on June 3 on the "Boston Belle." Woody Herman and his band will play at the "Senior Spread" June 8.
