J.V. Nine to Meet State Teachers; N.H. Freshman Contest Rained Out

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Unless rain again intervenes, the junior varsity baseball team travels to Roslindale to meet State Teachers College this afternoon.

Yesterday, a scheduled game against the New Hampshire freshmen at Durham was postponed because of rain.

Probable starting lineup will include Joe Conzelman in conterfield, Dick Hoffman at second, Jim Rahal at third, and Captain Bill Hickey behind the plate and batting clean-up.

Two Pitchers Out

Hank Pildner is scheduled to start in right, George Anderson at shortstop, Jim Kiggen at first, and Neil Bortz in left. Starting pitcher is unannounced, but John Semmelmeyer may open on the mound.

Two of Norm Shepard's JV pitchers--Luke Lockwood and Scott Ricketson--will be sidelined because of general exams.

The JVs defeated State Teachers earlier this month at Soldiers Field by a 6 to 1 count. The team lost its only other game, by the same score, to Quonset Naval Base.
