Cooney, only a sophomore, shot a 'brilliant four-under par 67, to spearhead the the Crimson's 7-0 win over MIT and Bowdoin on Wednesday, and will play in first position today.
In second slot will be Bruce Thurmond, followed by Jack Brophy and captain Dave Hedberg. Pete Malkin breaks into the lineup as fifth man, and Doug Boyd is another newcomer at seventh. Jim Jones will tee off sixth.
Wesleyan's team is an unknown quantity, but Crimson Coach Josh Williams expects little difficulty in gaining the season's third win.
