Woody Herman and his orchestra will be the feature band for this year's Class Week "Senior Spread." Approximately $10,000 will be spent for the highlights of the week, Ralph N. Wharton '53, secretary of the Class Day Committee, announced yesterday. The "Senior Spread," annual formal dance and midnight supper, will be held in the Eliot House courtyard on June 8.
Class Week begins June 7, with the Baccalaureate Service in Memorial Church. The next afternoon there will be a new event, a presentation by the Harvard Theater Group. The Senior Spread will take place that evening.
Yacht Trip Planned
Following Class Day exercises on Tuesday, June 9, a moonlight cruise for seniors and their guests is scheduled. There will be dancing, liquor and beer aboard the yacht, the S.S. Boston Belle.
There will be no senior class rally this year. However, beer will be served at the Harvard-Yale baseball game.
Commencement exercises will be held on Thursday, June 11, in the Tercentenary Theater of the Yard.
