There are many ways to show international friendship and understanding. One of the most usual is an exchange of monuments. France gave America the Statue of Liberty; America gave Britain a treasured statue of Lincoln; and so on. That is why the recent gift of the Lampoon to the Soviet Government of one of its most treasured possessions is a firm step forward in the path to peace.
