Varsity Ruggers Face M.I.T. In Opening Game of Season

University ruggers open their spring season against a highly-rated M.I.T. squad today at 3 p.m. on the Engineers' home ground.

"Our chances are 50-50," remarked player-coach Tom Calhoun. "Our main purpose will be to find the best possible team to play against Dartmouth here on April 25. We'll probably do a lot of shifting."

Ten of the team's 15 starters are from the Business and Law Schools. Only three players have been selected from the 20 who competed in the Bermuda tournament over Easter vacation. Calhoun wants to give those who didn't go down to the island a chance to show their abilities.

Last year the Crimson split two games against M.I.T.
