Today's varsity lacrosse game against the previously defeated Boston Lacrosse Club should present Coach Bruce Munro with an opportunity to furnish his reserves with valuable game experience.
The tilt is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. on the Business School Field, and though the BLC is always unpredictable, it should not present much opposition for the renovated Crimson ten.
In the first game of the season the varsity easily defeated the Lacrosse Club, 20 to 4. Recent improvement as witnessed by its performance against the University of Delaware, hints toward an easy win.
After the well-coordinated play turned in Thursday by the mid-fields Munro may well keep them in the same order, using in the first line Hank Wood, Captain Ron Huebsch, and Fred Horween; and Skip Baldwin, Chuck Edwards, and Todd Goodwin for the second.
The attack, of necessity, will be the same, with Monk Aiello, Phil Waring, and Ed Curtis, who remain the only attackmen on the squad. However, as proven against Delaware, they are fully up to the job. The big question mark is still the goal, where Munro has been alternating Steve Den Hartog and John Ogden, both sophomores. Den Hartog's first appearance was against Delaware, but he did not have a sufficient opportunity to show himself.
For defence Munro will call on Tom Crump, Paul Jones, and Ted Sexton; but Bob Larsen and John Hartwell will probably see action.
