The Harvard Theater Group has just completed casting for "The General," the new play by Lewis Coxe and Robert H. Chapman, assistant professor of English. This is the pair's first production since their "Billy Budd" opened in Cambridge last winter.
Those in the leading roles will be Donald Stewart '53, Michael Mabry '53, and Robin Ladd, a young Boston repertory actress. The play is being produced by Irving Yoskowitz '53, and the sets designed by Anthony Herrey '54. Mary Ann Goldsmith '54 is the stage manager.
"The General" is now in rehearsal, and will open at the Pi Eta Theater on April 25. It is primarily concerned with the personal problems of various Washington officials including two generals, and also hits the present Congressional Communism investigations.
