E. E. Cummings to Deliver His Fifth Norton Poetry Lecture

E. E. Cummings '15 delivers his fifth Charles Eliot Norton lecture tonight in Sanders Theatre at 8 p.m. The lecture, entitled "i and now and him," continues the second series of 1952-3 lectures.

The final lecture of the series on March 16, will be "i and am and santa claus."

Cummings, current Charles Eliot Norton Professor of Poetry, has published nine volumes of poetry since 1923. "The Enormous Room," a novel based on his war experience, came out in 1922.

His fall lectures consisted of half-hour talks followed by poetry readings, his own and others. Titles were "i and my parents," "i and their son," and "i and self-discovery." He first lecture in the second series was "i and you and is."
