Rineharts Outplay Wintergreens In All-Star Hockey Contest, 5 to 2

Rinchart's hockey all-stars, held even for half the game, broke loose for four goals in the second period to crush the Wintergreen sextet, 5 to 2, yesterday at the Skating Club.

Dunster's ace line of Pete Fry, Jim Holder, and Pat Conway produced two Rinehart goals, and Eliot's scoring combination of Jim Colt, Hank Romaine, and Terry King knocked in two more. Wingman Ted Coney of Winthrop scored the fifth Rinehart goal.

Wintergreen goalie Beano Marshal of Leverett held the Rineharts to one score in the first period of the game, but the blue shirts of Eliot, Adams, Winthrop, and Dunster over powered George Anderson of Dudley who replaced Marshall in the Wintergreen net.

At the Blockhouse pool, Eliot House swimmers came from behind last night to top the Deacons in the final relay, 27 to 21, and win the intramural swimming championship.

Eliot's gradually cut Kirkland's lead as freestyler Tim Whelan won first place in both the 50 and 100 yard events.

Matthews South, freshman basketball champions, defeated the 1951 champion Matthews South team 40 to 29 yesterday afternoon at the JAB. Intramural wrestling finals will be the attraction tonight at the Blockhouse.
