Furry Denies News Report Of Corporation Suspension

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Associate Professor Wendell H. Furry early this morning denied a United Press bulletin that he had been suspended from his position on the faculty of Arts and Sciences.

Furry, when contacted in Washington, commented "I know nothing whatsoever of the report."

William M. Pinkerton, head of the University News Bureau, stated, "Harvard University has issued no release since last Monday, and as far as I know no action has been taken along this line."

The UP bulletin quoted "reliable Washington sources" as reporting Furry had been suspended until after he testified again before the Velde Committee. No attempt was made to explain who "the reliable sources" were.
