Freshmen will fill Memorial Hall this evening for their annual Smoker. The event, a Yardling tradition, will feature several entertainers including vocalist Cindy Lord and comedienne Geene Courtney.
Tom Lehrer 6G, musical humorist, is also scheduled to appear along with a singing ensemble from the Hasty Pudding Club, the Krokodiloes, and an octet of Wellesley girls, the Wellesley Widows.
The freshmen will be entertained by Hugh Shepley, a juggler, and Jerry Alch '54, comedian, on the stage of Sanders Theatre. The customary beer-drinking contest will complete the program.
