Comedienne Geene Courtney, "Miss Sweater Girl of 1945," will feature Friday night's Freshman Smoker, Committee Chairman Peter S. Hearst '56, announced last night.

Miss Courtney is currently appearing at Boston's Moulin Rouge nightclub after a 19-week stand at the Palace Theatre in New York. During her entertainment career she has worked for several Hollywood studios and has appeared with Milton Berle, Jackie Gleason, Bert Lahr, and Jimmy Durante.

Asked what she thought about Harvard boys, Miss Courtney replied: "Wow, I've always wanted to meet a Harvard man, and now that I finally have a date, I'll have to go out with a thousand at once."

She revealed, however, that Phil Silvers is her "man of the hour," adding, "But if he doesn't call tomorrow, you never can tell."

Co-star with Miss Courtney will be Vaughn Monroe's present vocalist, Cindy Lord.

Miss Lord, a 17-year-old Medford High School senior, is currently touring local colleges and has appeared on Monroe's "Camel Caravan" radio show.

Also included in the program is George Wein's six-piece Dixieland band, "The Mahogany All-Stars," starring Vic Dickinson and Doc Cheatham. Jay Powers' Freshman Jazz Trio will also appear, and James A. Austrian '56 will serve as master of ceremonies.
