Crimson skiers found Class A competition more than they could handle, finishing last in a nine team field at the Middlebury Carnival over the weekend. Middlebury won the meet.
Friday morning in the downhill event, the Crimson got off to an inauspicious start with two of its four skiers failing to finish due to accidents.
The team's best showing was made in the cross country. With 43 contenders, Hans Vitzthum came in 12th, followed by Johan Andreson in 16th position.
Unfortunately, the Crimson's ninth place showing demoted the skiers to Class B and junior division competition.
