Coach Bill McCurdy has taken only men who have some chance of scoring, but he says that point possibilities are slim for his team. Last year the track team brought back only one point.
He gives Bob Curran in the 35 pound shot the best chance to take a third place. Favored Gil Dillon of Manhattan has thrown 59 feet, while Curran's best toss is 52.
Mile Relay Team Out
Sickness has prevented the mile relay team from competing. Both Paul Grand and Renny Little are out with colds.
In other events, Bob Twitchell and Bob Rittenburg run the 60 yard hurdles, and Herb Collins the 60 yard dash. Bob Mello is in the pole vault. Hal Gerry runs the two mile, Al Howe the 600, and Gil Murray throws the shot for the Crimson today.
Defending champion Manhattan is favored to retain its crown. Georgetown and Army are rated dark horse challengers.
