Skiers Rank Last After One Day in Middlebury Meet

After one day's competition, Crimson skiers are ninth in a nine team field competing for the Class A Championship at Middlebury, Vt.

Middlebury, leading Dartmouth by two-hundredths of a point, is defending its 1952 Eastern Intercollegiate Ski Association championship, New Hampshire ranks third and Williams fourth. St. Lawrence, Vermont, Syracuse, Bowdoin, and Harvard round out the standings.

Coach Graham Taylor's eight man squad includes Harry Gardner, Steve Reynolds, Pat Colt, Johan Andreson, Hans Vitzthum, Ernest Dane, Chris Ingraham, and former captain Tim Wise. Vitzthum turned in the Crimson's best performance yesterday, finishing 12th in the cross-country.

The three lowest scoring teams in the meet will be demoted from the senior division to Class B competition.
