Green Favored to Defeat Losing Local five Tonight

Dartmouth, the most improved basketball team in the Ivy League, moves into the Blockhouse at 8 p.m. tonight, a solid favorite to extend the varsity's E.I.B.L. losing streak to 18 games.

Dunster's league leading "A" team meets Kirkland in the 6:30 preliminary.

The Green, possessor of two close victories over the Crimson last year, comes into Cambridge straight from decisive wins over Yale and Holy Cross.

Freddie Gleg, six foot four captain, was the key man in the Yale win, just as he was in Dartmouth's six other victories. Third high scorer in the Ivy, he throw in 24 points against the Elis, and rebounded well.

Wisdom Will Play

Art Patterson, the other forward, has played erratic ball, but has an average of close to ten points a game, Glenn Wilson--second high scorer on the team--and Pete Geithner play a rushing game at the guards, picking up their men at mid-court Paul wisdom, six foot eight center, had a bad leg earlier in the season, and hasn't played too much until the last two games.

Crimson coach Norm Shepard sent his team through a heavy workout yesterday, and will start the same team that lost to Princeton. Harry Sacks and Bill Dennis will go at the forwards, Dick Lionette at center, and Ed Krinsky and Ed Condon at the guards.

Sacks and Dennis stood seventh and eighth in the Ivy scoring standings up to Feb 4. In four games Sacks had 65 points to Dennis' 54. Sacks' 31 free throws place him third in that department.

Next Saturday night the Crimson will take on Columbia, which has beaten the quintet earlier this ear, at the I.A.B.
