Blood Drive Assistant Says Increased Response Needed

Arthur D. Bloom '56, Publicity Chairman of the blood drive, said yesterday the drive was slightly behind expectations.

"But we expect it will improve in the last three days," Bloom said.

House captains are checking their lists to remind would-be donors to keep their appointments. A Radcliffe contingent worked for the past two nights telephoning students who had missed their appointments.

Bloom said that there is less interest in this year's drive because the Korean War is over, and added that he expected the rescheduling of appointments to improve the situation. Yesterday's totals were an improvement over Monday's. On Monday, 60 percent of those who had appointments showed up; yesterday, the figure was 69 percent.
