Mystery-Man Rocks '57 Smoker Election

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The search is on for Caesare Undula Balzotti, III.

In the hot Freshman Smoker Committee campaign, the Weld North Vigilance Committee last night asserted that there is no freshman with the name Balzotti, and in fact there is no Balzotti at all.

The Committee charge implied that Yearbook Publications, which published Balzotti's name in the '57 Register, and the "Balzotti Election Committee," which entered his name in the Smoker campaign, were perpetrating a hoax.

From its headquarters in Wigglesworth B.12, the Election Committee said that Balzotti was in existence and will address a campaign rally in the Yard tomorrow night.

They also issued this statement: "It is unfortunate that some uninformed people should act on their emotions and discriminate against a candidate, overlooking his outstanding capabilities."

Yearbook President Al Geyer '54 said in behalf on Balzotti: "The whole thing is an outrage."
