To end confusion over the method of distributing basketball tickets, the H. A. A. last night clarified this year's rules.
Students can pick up tickets at the H.A.A., prior to games, or can be admitted at the gate without a ticket. In either case, there will be no charge, and the presentation of bursar's cared will be sufficient.
An H.A.A. official said, however, that students with tickets will get seat preference at the gate.
Until the clarification, some dismayed students had thought they would have to go to the H.A.A. for free tickets, of else be charged at the gate.
Unlike football, there will be no "class" days for picking up tickets. Because there will be no reserved seats, the ticket office is not expecting a rush to get tickets curly.
Last year, tickets were purchased individually or in a season ticket book.
