Winter Intra Sports Start for Freshmen

Two hundred and fifty freshmen are now playing intramural basketball Monday through Thursday afternoons in Hemenway Gymnasium and the Indoor Athletic Building.

Dudley and all dormitories and proctorial units except Mower will play in two leagues under the direction of the seven-student Board of Freshman Intra-Mural Athletics.

Regular games, which began last Monday, are scheduled tentatively until the end of February. Game starting times run from 2:00 p.m. until 9:15 p.m.

Intramural hockey, in addition to basketball, may be on the board's winter athletics program. Managers are now circulating petitions for the names of all prospective players.

"We're trying to get hockey rolling now, but it is up to everyone who wants to play to give his name now to his manager," stated John Read, executive chairman of the Freshman Intra-Mural Athletics board.
