Varsity Squash Team Beats Engineers, 8-1, Registers Fourth Win

Coach Jack Barnaby's varsity squash team extended its winning streak to four yesterday afternoon, trouncing M.I.T., g-l, on the Hemenway conurin.

Fresh from shutouts over McGill and Dartmouth, the varsity swept every match except the first, where Haddon Tomes dropped his first of the season in the closest match of the day, 7-15, 15-9, 10-16, 15-11, 15-12.

The most lopsided win was registered by Captain Mike Ward at number four, who beat his opponent in straight sots, 15-1, 15-5, 15-11. Larry Brownell, at two and-Guy Paschal, eight, ere the either men to win in straight sets.

Bill Winter, at number three, won by technical default, when his opponent was injured with Winter leading in sots, 2-1.

Other varsity winners were Johnny Bash at four, Paul Garrigue at five, Ed Rose at seven, and AI Stone playing nine.

After the Christmas vacation the team will resume competition, meeting the University Club on Jan. 4.
