The Crimson varsity and freshman wrestling teams last night pinned 12 out of 14 opponents and won two either matches by decisions as they defeated Tufts, 23 to 3 and 35 to 5, in the season's second win for both teams.

Before a partisan crowd at the I.A.H., three Yardling lightweights began the meet by pinning their Jumbo opponents. Thereafter, except for one fall by a Tufts freshman and a decision against 123 pounder Don Fern, the locals won every match.

The varsity never equaled the Yardling record of six out of seven falls, but it nearly matched them by planning five out of seven.

Dick Adams at 180 began the parade by slipping on a half nelson and body press in 6:55 of the third period. Joe Lostor at 137 immediately followed suit with a quick pin over Mark Cohen half-way through the first period.

Middleweights Frank Baker and LenMillor both missed falls but took decisions. Baker won 6 to 1. And, after a series of reversals, Miller came out ahead, 6 to 5.

In the 167 pound class, Crimson Captain Chick Chandlor clamped a reversenelson and body press on Tufts' co-Captain Mike McKay to win the match in :35 of the second period.

BY prying with this head and nock, Ken Culbert at 177 rolled over Tufts' co-Captain Larry Byren and pinned him in a minute and a half of the first period. Heavyweight Pete Morrison rounded out, the Crimson victory with a fall after the start of the second period.

Following the freshman triumph, the Yardlings elected Tom H. Rockel of Thayer Hall and Storrs, Ct., captain of the 1953-5 squad. Rockel, 157 pound wrestler from Moses Brown, had pinned his opponent in the second fastest time of the night.
