First Round Titles Decided in '57 Play

Apley and Stougnton clinched their respective first round league championships last night in freshman intramural play at the I.A.B. and Hemenway Gym.

The games last night assured the two teams of reaching their league playoffs in March. The winners of the two rounds play each other for the league title, and then the league winners compete for the freshman championship.

The scores last night were: American League: Apley 35, Wigglesworth East 23; Massachusetts 51, Thayer Middle 20; Strauss North 41, Matthews South 12. National League: Stoughton 19, Holworthy 17; Dudley 23, Weld North 18.
