Debate Council Team Ties for First Place

NEW YORK CITY, Dec. 12--A four man debate council team tied for first place in the fourth annual Hall of Fame tournament at New York University. The team tied with St. Peter's College of New Jersey, in its final fall season competition.

The team lost only one debate in eight rounds, four affirmative and four negative. Stephen G. Brush '55 and Joseph E. Frank '56 debated the affirmative side of the topic, "Resolved: The United States should adopt a policy of free trade."

George M. Frederickson '56 and Toby Citrin '56 were undefeated debating the affirmative side of the question.
