George Washington University's sailors wrested the Mark Time Angsten Memorial Regatta Trophy from Harvard's defending champions over this weekend in Chicago's Belmont Harbor.

Final scoring was, GWU 205, the Crimson 197, and Michigan third with 193 points.

The Crimson sailors trailed GWU throughout the three-day meet which was held despite snow and freezing temperatures.

Jim Nathanson, top varsity skipper and rated best skipper in the East, pulled the Crimson to within one point with one event remaining, but Tim Brown was forced into a marker and fouled out in the final race, which GWU took to win the meet.

Nathanson finished second, behind John Dodge of GWU, and Brown fourth in the race for individual honors.
